My 1st horse was a birthday gift from my dad at age 10 instead of the go-kart I had requested.
Under questioning years later, Dad's thinking was a go-kart could kill or maim his youngest son,
however, a horse might be more forgiving and a good character builder to boot.
Smoky (the horse) proved Dad right. He hurt me once or twice, but it really was my fault.
He became a good friend and confidence builder. In 1990 , I re-entered the equine
world of Quarter Horses with a 3 year old.
At present, we stand 2 King foundation line Quarter horse studs, one of which is 100% King Bred, 
plus approx. 25 other horses at our farm in Summerville, Ga.
